I know.. I know.. old POS, but it works - as my accounting machine. (I still have my Classic II also.. table art)

The only problem with it is that it wants to rest the date when I restart it.. like to 1956. It may be feeling old.. but if I remember, there's a battery somewhere that acts like a Pacemaker, that keeps the clock ticking. If so, do you know how to replace it w/o loosing the whole system? Thanks.

It's a 3.6V lithium battery that looks like a regular AA except shorter. On the newer models with a lid for the RAM, you can see it by opening that lid, but it's not meant to be replaced that way - you're supposed to remove the bottom cover and EM shield, which isn't really that hard. On the older models, including the original Bondi, it's harder. Google found this manual.
The low-end Mac Pro is the most overpriced Mac since the IIvx

You can get the battery cheapest from OWC. If you want it fast from someone local, this is my list of compatible battery numbers from various manufacturers:

That's a good price. Whatever you do, don't buy it at Radio Shack. They charge $21 for that battery. A SINGLE battery.
