Hi i was looking at this video
YouTube - 27 inch iMac, Switch to External Display Command F2 Computer Computer
and was wondering if i can do this with my White iMac 20" 2006 i think.
with leopard. or do you need to have a newer iMac with snow leopard to do it. Because the newer iMac has a different display port than the older one.

If i can do it. can it be done on say. a PS3 and a Nintendo Wii? if so what cords will i need?

You can't do it with just the iMac - that port is output only. You can sort of do it over USB with an adapter like one of these, but those that have tried it seem to think that experience is less than optimal, as the latency is too high. Caveat emptor.
The low-end Mac Pro is the most overpriced Mac since the IIvx
