My daughter splashed some water at the numeric keyboard (USB connected) of my MacMini. Some keys turned unresponsive. I turned the computer off, removed the keyboard and used a hair blower to speed the drying process.

For no good.

Now all I get, even with the keyboard unplugged, is a white screen with strange symbol moving in it,

This is a pic of what is displayed in the screen. Anyone knows what this means? I figure I must purchase a new keyboard (not much of a hassle but will need to wait until Monday for authorized Mac store to open).

Is my MacMini in trouble?

Thanks

That's the FireWire logo.

There's water under the "T" key, making it seem like it's pressed.

When you start up holding the "T" key, the machine goes into FireWire target disk mode, where it's basically just an external hard drive that can be connected to another computer.

Shut it off, disconnect the keyboard, and switch it on again. It will boot normally.

Place the keyboard on the radiator or in the sun for a day or three. If it was just water, it will likely recover once it dries out.

OP said it was booting that way with no keyboard attached. I would unplug all USB devices, pull the power cable too then hold the power button for 5 seconds. Then plug power back in and reboot.
