Using a shure digital usb mic, problem is, on garageband preferences i will select shure digital input/output, but wont record although i can hear myself on headphones via the mic as the mic will monitor the sound if this makes sense, any thoughts please would be appreciated again !!
Sound preferences recognises the mic also.

There should be a "monitor mix" pot on the microphone/Shure adapter that will blend between the mic signal and the playback.

the blending is fine but still wont let me record via the mic although as i said, all the other music recorded is there ??
