Ok guys i looking to upgrade my 1st gen 2.0 ghz Mac Pro with 7300 gt nivida graphics card to a amd radeon 5770 wich has 2 displayport inputs and 1 dual-link dvi input. i have a 22 inch monitor and a dvi input can i use the dual-link dvi to connect my monitor to ? i quick response because i am ready to order the card now and so badly want use bootcamp to play games and better looking video. thanks and as always you all are the best

You can run single link DVI from a dual link DVI port, yes.

Be aware you need 10.6.4 or later and Apple will not support that card in a 2006 Mac Pro.

thanks for your help im on newest os but darn i bought a mini displayport to dvi adaptor also with card but who knows may need in future

Order it, my MacPro 2006 is running with the 5770 and play L4D2 with all video settings maxed out.
