Hi,

I have the latest Mac Mini server 2.66ghz, Dual 500gb HD, model: MC438LL/A

I have been using Crucial 8gb (2x4GB) for awhile PC3 1066 CL7.

I recently tried switching to Samsung MV-3T4G4 with problems.

I have 4 individual sticks of this Samsung RAM. If I put a single DIMM in the machine, it chimes. If I put both in together, it chimes.

Only when I stick a crucial stick and a Samsung stick in together does it work okay.

Any help?

The obvious question is why change it if it was working? If it ain't broke....

I had 8GB of 1333MHz in my 1066MHz MBP and it was flaky as hell. Swapped it out for 8GB of 1066 and it runs beautifully. I don't think the 1066 Macs like the newer stuff.
