hi

I have noticed a lot of the new lcd tvs have a pc connector (vga or d-sub)

does that mean I can effectively use a 37' lcd tv as a monitor with my powermac?

will the text on the screen be readable?

Yes and yes. Don't expect the image to be crisp if you are up close.
