Ask the vendor, they are the ones you need to go to if it does not work.
If the vendor has no mechanism to answer such questions, IMO find a different vendor like OWC or Crucial.

good idea newegg didnt have amodulator so I called kingston as there modulator does not go back that far
they looked it up and it will work fine.

I usually go to Crucial or OtherWorldComputing's RAM configurator thing and let it tell me...

If the RAM's specs match or exceed Apple's listed specs for your model, it should work. You can generally go up on clock speed, and down on latency.

Kingston actually have a very simple part number system for Mac Memory. They all start KTA, the next bit is usually either MP = Mac Pro, MB = MacBook (including MBP), and iMac is kind of obvious. Next they print the speed of the memory which you can look up in your system profile to make sure you are ordering the correct RAM.
Mac Pros are slightly more complicated than mosts, especially the early ones which needed FB-DIMMS and ECC but since they all require that, that is what Kingston provides and they don't bother to mention it specifically.

installed and working fine! my older RAM was placed in not the ideal slots, so all this got cleared up
Much Faster Too
at elast safari so far loads a lot better which doesnt make any sense
