There is no Mac Pro that can NOT run 64-bit applications.
The ability to run 64-bit apps is completely unrelated to running a 64-bit kernel, which I think is what is confusing you.
You are right. I looked at my system profile under the software heading, and next to the 64-bit Kernel and Extensions: it says "Yes". I guess I just wanted to know if I could run the latest Adobe 64 bit software.
