Until my G5 arrives, I'm trying to set-up my mirror drive dual 1 GHz with a new aluminum 23" Cinema Display -- but I was surprised to find out that I can't connect with what is available on the back of my G4.
What are my least expensive options here to make this set-up work?

You mean your MDD does not have an ADC or DVI video card? That's not kosher. What video card do you have in your MDD?

If it's a stock MDD PowerMac G4, it will have both an ADC and a DVI port. The aluminum cinema displays use DVI connectors; therefore, you will be able to connect it.

if you dont have a DVI connection (some cards had one VGA, one ADC) you want an ADC to VGA adapter. should be around 20$ - can be had at an Apple store or online.

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL....6.25.7.11.1.3
Here's hoping my local store carries them and is open tomorrow.
By the way, this forum rocks. No bullsh*t. Just helpful answers and advice, in record time. If only other forums were run and inhabited this well.
