Underneath the two little LCDs there's a white fridge with a black PC on top of it. It doesn't show up very well, but it used to be my HTPC and the case looks like a piece of stereo equipment.

Unless you're referring to the Poweredge which is about the size and weight of a refrigerator

You could use your shots for the Crate and Barrel catalogue! Those shelve units are great! Gonna get a similar set of them myself. You have a sweet setup, my man.

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.

I actually have the same set, the Logitech Z-560. As far as value, they are some of the best computer speaker systems you can buy. Output is great, quality (fit and finish) is very good, although lacking a little in the lower midbass range. The ported subwoofer is does whistle a little bit at higher volumes, but its nothing that isnt tolerable. Depending upon your needs these are a good upgrade from a lot of smaller, tinny-sounding computer speakers, but by no means replace a set of (more expensive) powered studio monitors or a 5.1 surround sound system. They do leave some clarity to be desired. But again, as I said they do get quite LOUD. and are excellent for watching movies, or gaming with effects-heavy material. For serious mixing, or music playing, they may not be what you are looking for. Still, I'd rate them at a 4 out of 5, for the price, they are an excellent choice.

Hope this helps somewhat.

Actually, I'm more prone to locking the keys inside the room than losing them. Just locked myself out today. That's $5 every time. And yea, BT is killer, I just wish Mighty Mouse had a BT version. Oh well, we can't have it all, can we?

heh. That is actually a roll of paper towels which are partially obscured by the printer. I'm waiting for a raise to maybe buy a new monitor and move elsewhere. The Power Mac will remain with me however.

Hi

i'm new here. Don't have a G5 YET, tending to buy one, soon :-), with the 30".
Question about it: can i put my x800xt in the G5, or do i have to buy a "special" one?

Untill then, this is my rig:

i do believe that you have my logitech z-5500 speakers. one word BOOM

question: do you believe that you get the full surround experience with your rear speakers that way, or just lack of a good place to put them? im in the same situation and right now i only have the fwd left right, and the middle hooked up to the sub, and trying to figure out how to set up the rears

Put the rear on the floor somewhere you won't kick them and rotate the stand so they face up since your tight for space. Since I have plenty of space I only have the Center on the desk.

TheLegacy, PC gfx cards use different BIOS on the chips thats not the same on Apple computers. Some say they have flashed certain cards and got away with it, but I find that rather dangerous and could end up with a dead board.

This picture is taken the day i bought them. So this is the quickly-get-them-out-of-the-box-to-hear-them-make-some-noise-setup :-). Eather way, they're awesome! Especially the DD PL2 Music effect is so good for Drum 'n Bass. DD PL2 for movies, stereo, stereo X2, 6ch direct,... It's a must-have!

The rear satelites have now a more rear-like position, i'll take a new picture soon.
Config is an Athlon64 3500+, 2GB dual-channel ddr (hoping to put 8GB in my G5, i'm an overkill-lover :-)), a Radeon X800XT on a 19" benq fp937s+.
About the x800xt, can i use this with the G5, or do i have to buy a "special" one?
