A few days ago, someone posted a topic asking if it was beneficial to join the Apple developer program as a student. A quick look at the website revealed a sweet one -time hardware discount,
but you had to be a student enrolled in
developer related courses. I fired off a quick email to the ADC contact folks and asked if it would be possible to enroll and get the discount even though I am enrolled in marketing and management classes. A very nice guy emailed me back and said that I could indeed enroll and enjoy all the benefits of membership. So, I just enrolled in the ADC Student program at
developer.apple.com. Then, I went over to the Apple Store for Developers and picked up the following machine:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
POWER MAC G4 CTO Z03W $ 2,598.00 1 $ 2,598.00

Throw in AppleCare, the free printer, and some extra DVD-R media and we're looking at a grand total of
$3686 for the latest and greatest machine from Apple. The closest I could get in the Educational store for the same machine was $600 more. So, does the Developer Program have its benefits??? I would say so.
Best of all, time to ship:
