I ordered mine BTO from Apple.com with 1024MB of RAM, and sure enough, the label underneath my battery says "1024" in the RAM section of the description.

Aww, that sucks! I put my own RAM in (saving myself 70% on cost), and it says 512MB! Apple should sell 'upgrade labels' or something.

You suck!

Ooh, I know! Apple should build in a little calculator style LCD that shows you how much ram you've got! (Sure, I'm kidding, but it seems like the kinds of touches Apple is fond of... I still can't believe they put the little LEDs for the battery on there. Remarkably cool, and almost useless! )

How is knowing how much battery life you have left with a quick button push "almost useless?" Do you magically know how much charge you have left when the machine is asleep or you are looking at an extra battery not in the machine? This is a great feature that has been around forever and should stick around.

What is this LCD thing?? Is it apart of all Powerbooks? or just the new 12" 17" ? (I recently ordered a 15.2")...
