Some how a pair of small scratches appeared on the bottom edge of the screen on my Ti867 and after unplugging it and watching a DVD I really noticed the battery wouldn't even last long enough to finish a 113 minute movie. It used to last for roughly 2.5 hours (+ or -). Or is there something else I may have overlooked?

Thx

How many charge cycles has your battery completed? Batteries do wear out over time, but also consider that playing a DVD does use more energy than browsing the Internet or working on a text document.

Why did you post then?

Scratches are unsightly, but they don't increase or decrease the amount of power consumed by a display.

I'm going to drain the batteries completely and then recharge them. The laptop is plugged in the majority of the time so that may be the problem.

The batteries on my Pismo only last somewhere between 5 minutes and 30 minutes... Just before I upgraded MacOS X 10.2.3 to 10.2.4 I got several hours out of them (consistently). This happened to both of my batteries at the same time. I don't think it's a coincidence.

As soon as my 17" PowerBook arrives this morning, I'm going to wipe my Pismo clean and reinstall 10.2.3. I hope this will clear up the problem...I'll let you know.

Possibly. But it's more likely that the thunderstorm in New Orleans affected the battery life.
