I just noticed in Giants Citizen Kabuto, whereas my old 667 DVI Ti would stutter after I had finished building a base, the 17" does not. It's strange because when I first built the base after I got the 17" it stuttered the frame rates, but now it is all smooth. I am pleased but am left wondering why. I have not changed any settings to my knowledge.

Your 667-megahertz DVI PowerBook has a Mobility RADEON 7500 with 32 megabytes of graphics memory. The latest TiBooks use the Mobility RADEON 9000 with 32 or 64 megabytes of video memory. The Mobility RADEON 7500 isn't as good as the GeForce4 Go. On the other hand, the Mobility RADEON 9000 is better than the GeForce4 Go because it supports programmable shaders, and it's a more even match against the GeForce4 Go than the Mobility RADEON 7500 in terms of raw performance.

Well, when others were benching it, it did score better then the 15inch.

ATi's drivers aren't up to speed. Windows notebooks with the Mobility RADEON 9000 perform better than comparable notebooks with the GeForce4 Go.

The GeForce4 Go could be scoring higher because 17-inch PowerBook's system bus is faster. The 17-inch PowerBook also has DDR memory.

Well, I was just posting because I noticed not much of an improvement over my 667 DVI GPU and was rather disappointed, but now for some reason the performance seems greatly improved. Possibly an update I did recently? Who knows. Anyway, I'm quite a bit happier with my 17" now, that's all.
