My PowerBook G4 (SuperDrive) is displaying a pattern of vertical lines over the desktop background image, which I've set to solid blue. The foreground windows are fine, and the hardware diagnostic doesn't report any video problems. Has anyone else noticed this? I was using TinkerTool recently, but have uninstalled it....

Have you tried switching to different background images?

Does it show up in screenshots?

(I very much doubt it's a hardware issue - if it were, it would affect the entire display, not just a single background layer.)

I get the same lines with any background image...

Any idea what could be causing this?
