It's probably seventeeninchitis. The condition frequently begins with symptoms of insomnia, which will unfortunately increase after the 17" is intruduced to the victim. Stage 2 sufferers usually find themselves up into the wee hours of the night drawn like a helpless moth to their keyboard lighted laptop. Their appetite fails and they may go without food all day without realizing it. Extreme cases (stage 3) result in acute withdrawal from family and friends, hardly venturing outdoors unless it is to the local Starbucks. Very sad. Even a 3 week long suffer of this chronic disease may still have such bouts of insomnia and extreme euphoric mood swings, exclaiming wildly how great their laptop is and raving about its power with the vehemence of a lunatic. If you know anyone who exhibits these symptoms you should cover the victim in a blanket and seek help for the individual immediately, beginning by posting on this thread. There is hope for a cure...but usually these poor deluded people never want one...don't let this happen to you. There is help. The first step is to admit you have a problem an be willing to deal with it.

Ha!...
Man, I wish it was just that simple. Actually, to be off subject, doctor thinks it's a condition with my thyroid. Not the most exciting thing. And the meds he prescribed are giving me the once over. Guh!
But anyhow, I'm just sitting in my living room now...waiting for that knock on the door.

Well...spent most of my day getting this gorgeous piece of technology put together. And I'm about done.
What can I say? It's a truly great machine. I'm very happy with my purchase and setup. And there's so much more room on my desk now!!! I'll miss that G3. But as my brother put it to me, "You'll miss it for about ten minutes, then put your computer world under your arm and go for a walk." Cool.
I took some pics and will be posting them on my web site soon. I'm sort of busy, so I'll get to it when I can.
This is so cool!

Couldn't stop saying that myself, and I still am.
Congrats once more on getting your 17" PB! It's one amazing feeling, that's for sure! And no prob. on the pics, just be sure to post 'em whenever some free time rolls around! Enjoy your machine, and if you're transferring any files over from a PC onto it, be sure to read my most recent post in the Networking Forum first for a seemless and free method to do so.

Hey Beanman!
Guess what- I have a thyroid problem and a 17" PB too!
I think the PB makes me forget about all that other stuff. Cool.
We should let the doctors know the REAL cure!
Enjoy my friend!
P.S. It took me 4 hours to finally turn mine on...
eeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!
