My iBook 700mhz (Nov 2002) has started this odd trend as of late: The system will completely lock up in random places, and when it does so, a bunch of vertical lines run across the screen. No kernel panic, no nothing, just dead. Sometimes it will happen right as the windowserver starts up, just after the boot screen, sometimes it will occur after an hour or so of normal use.. completely random.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar issues before, and can give me some insight into the issue? I haven't run the Hardware Test CD yet as it's at home, and I'm at work.

Ah, never mind.. a while after I posted that the system totally died and now refuses to boot up. I took it to my local Apple Store to get shipped off for repairs under warranty.. I think the logic board totally died on me.
