Hello !
I would like to purchase a powerbook now.
Do you think getting a 1Ghz Tibook superdrive is a stupid move, regarding the technology offered in new gen laptops [bluetooth, FW800, 802.11g]. Thank you for your advice.

Buying a PB is never stupid. It just depends of your needs, your budget and how fast you need it.
I purchased a 1G Ti PB on January and I can't be happier. It is exactly what I needed in the moment I needed.

Same here. So happy and satisfied with the 1ghz Tibook..
To answer to you question zacharie, the forum is full of post about it, just do a little research..
IMO, the only question that matters is:
How bad do you need a computer?? If you can wait, then wait for the next PB rev..But that means that you might have to wait till the end of summer to get something new..
If you can't wait and wants a 15", go for the tibook because you can't go wrong with it..

Zacharie,
I agree with everyone else....just do your research and choose your powerbook to fit your needs. For me, it took 2 months of research and faciing the issue of "should I wait for the new Albook 15.4"; should I purchase the new 12" Albook?; should I purchase a used Powerbook 867?" Just jot down what you'd use the Powerbook for. As a graphic designer, I need some speed and the L3 cache plus more memory. I would be using my PB while on the road to make minor adjustments to my work before presenting to the client, etc. So my advice is to see how much you can afford and to define what you'd be using the PB for. There are so many possibilies right now for everyone looking for a laptop. Just keep reading these posts and you'll narrow down your choice. Take care.
