That would be awesome to run AutoCAD on the 17.

That is, if AutoCAD ever comes to OS X.

So far I have run Vectorworks, form-z, and maya. Its amazing how nice the screen is. The rendering times are a little slow-maybe more ram would help this.

That's more of a video card, processor speed thing.

That would be the spectacularly mediocre Floating Point performance of the G4. Unless you're running a beta of FormZ 4, FormZ has always had poor rendering performance on the mac side of things, and running it in Classsic is even worse.
yo frat boy. where's my tax cut.

I find my 15' just big enough for archicad. I rather use my 22' cinema display connected to my pb for serious work.
Or get a 15' pb with an extra display, or get the 17'.

btw which verion of archicad are you running?

I really hate the fact that Form-z does not have version 4 out yet...I am not sure how much longer I can hold out. Maybe I should learn other software. Being my first mac and all what software do you guys use for renderings? I need software just to basically represent my studio projects and some free lance stuff that I do from time to time.

Right now I have a copy of 7 that I started to play with. Not bad...I like it.
