I want to get one for my new 15 TiBook, but I'm wondering how big of a backpack I would need.

See, I'm a college student and I'm ususally carrying many books with me. I don't want any of the waterfields bags because I don't like the way they look. So, I'm thinking of just getting one that I do like and using that.

Are the waterfield sleeves best used with their propriatary bags or could I use a different one just as well.

Thanks in advance.

Well, I'm also a college student and my iBook has gone in and out of my Waterfield sleeve, which then goes into my backpack, all day, everyday for last two years. I love it, probably the best $50 I have ever spent. My iBook looks pretty much like it did the day I got it, no big scratches or marks.

Another thing, the sleeve is insanely well built, mine has been all over the country on road trips, flights, and general use, and it looks brand new, I could seriously sell it as being brand new... I wouldn't even consider another sleeve, check them out at sfbags.com

Happy customer for life...

I'll second that. The Waterfield sleeve fits my iBook so nicely that it's like a protective skin. It can then go into any backpack or case. The velcro closing strap is just right for keeping the computer safe yet releasing it easily. The product is very well made and their customer service is excellent.

Like Jetta_gt, I'd say it's money well-spent.

I agree, I have used my sleeves (for my 15" Ti and my 17" Al) in a variety of bags and backpacks. It is by far the best purchase I have made for any of my PowerBooks.

The quality is outstanding! The original sleeve I bought from sfbags.com over two years ago still looks brand new, and I get a lot of use out of it!

You may also want to look at the Laptrap sleeve...though it's a bit more than just a sleeve. It will also hold your power supply and a few accessories...also has a CD/DVD organizer. You can even hook up a backpack strap to it....very nice.

Count my vote for the WaterField sleeve as well.

I've been using a WaterField sleeve and regular Eastpak backpack to carry my iBook and several pounds of big law books for the past two years. It's the perfect combination.

Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.

I have a 15" PB and use my Waterfield sleeve with a Kipling backpack and it works great. Very satisfied customer.

I have a waterfield for my 12" PB. It has been great.

I would watch out for the cases that stay attached when you are using the computer. The 12" already gets hot and adding a coat to it only traps the heat.

Hi. If you are interested, I'm selling my waterfield sleeve for the ti15" g4 powerbook. I bought it around early march 2003 so it is in brand new condition. I don't use it because I bought a new bag that came with a built in sleeve. If you'd like, I can put pictures up..

It's a beautiful sleeve.. you don't have to take my word for it.. just read the reviews on this forum..

I'm thinking i'll sell it for $28, you pay shipping. Like I said, Brand new condition...
