Eek... I hope no one is taking pictures of me when I'm in public using my 17" PowerBook...

Did you let him know you were taking pictures of him? I know it's not illegal or anything to take pictures of strangers in public but I would at least like to know why you're doing it.

What struck me is the quality of the photo... it's a very vibrant picture! I wonder what the guy was listening to...

The next step is to figure out what's he's actually using it FOR...

Looks like he's got MS Word happening, but can anyone figure out what else is going on? The headphones say that iTunes is a pretty safe bet....

The 12-inch PowerBook has been available for quite some time now. What's so interesting about a picture of a guy using one in public?

Don't worry, I don't randomly take pictures of people using computers. He's a freshman here and I sent him copies of the pictures I took. All I did was talk to him a bit about the powerbook and told him that I wanted to take the pictures for my own edification.

By the way, the reason I took the picture first was because of the lighting...I didn't even notice that he had a 12" powerbook until AFTER I went home and edited the photos

I like the term serendipity.

No expert here, but I know my little 12" in every corner and that machine is not a PowerBook G4 12". It sure looks like one from the distance, but look closely.

The headphones jack has no security hole to the right, as my AlBook does. Also the little slot to the right of the headphone jack is not present in my AlBook either, in fact mine has some air conditioning located in the bottom, not in the top.

Also I find the rubber feet for the TFT screen seems too big, as well as the TFT borders.

If that is a 12" AlBook, it is a new prototype or something!

I asked him a question. What do you find rude enough about my post to reply to me directly? Leave the moderation to the moderators, and if you have something to say that's only relevant to me, send a message to me directly.

your post had a condescending nature to it. I wasn't moderating anything.

Knowing that the 12-inch PowerBook has been readily available since February, I was merely wondering if there was something special about the person or the notebook in the picture.
