Hi everbody,

i am looking for a Replacement Combo Drive for my Powerbook Titanium ( the first one with 400Mhz ). I know there is a company called MCE who do a replacement, but i`m looking only for the drive, not for the service. Does anybody know, who produces the combodrive and where i can get it. Shpould be the Matshita CW 8118 or something like this.

Thank`s for your replies

This is an interesting question, I'm in the same boat but not at any price. Such combo shouldn't cost more than $150.

Moin moin!

Have you tried Siggelkow Computer in Hamburg? ( www.siggelkow.com )

Main shop is down by Berliner Tor, but they also have one up Beim Schlump.

I've found them to be among the cheapest on standard components. They might have that in stock (haven't checked).
