Hi.

I found THIS while searching the web for ram.

Is that the right kind of ram for the 17" PB? I'm a little insecure, because the webpage reads Apple Titanium 1GHz... But it also reads PC2700. Anyone knows?

Thanks.

The Titanium PowerBook doesn't use DDR-RAM. Why don't you email them since it could very well be either a typo error with the RAM type or the PowerBook model? My guess is they've got the PowerBook model wrong; probably just duplicated their database entry or something.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I have another question I don't wish to start a new thread for:

Has anyone tried the 1GB RAM modules yet?

Yeah, definitely email them before ordering, as that is conflicting material. Also, www.ramseeker.com and www.18004memory.com have always been reliable places to get PowerBook RAM at great prices.

And to answer the secondary question, no one on these boards have tried the 1GIG RAM modules in the 17" PB as far as I know...most will wait until the price drops because with RAM passing 1GIG, the law of diminishing returns really begins to take effect, and the tiny performance gains just aren't worth it.
