Working on my PowerBook the other day down in the student union, my screen seemed to just have lint flocking to it like a long lost love. Is this something common with LCD displays? Anyone else have this issue?

I've just got to know: why is there so much lint in your student union? Somebody leave their dryer open?

Anyway, LCD's normally do attract dust, so they require cleaning from time to time, but are we talking about lint balls here or something? Search for LCD cleaning in the forum and you'll find plenty of information.

The UI student union? Haha, I used to go there all the time.

Use some Klear Screen on there. It has anti-static properties. It helps a lot, if not completely.

Klear Screen also sells some majorly-cool cleaning cloths.

I agree. Its crazy how much lint gets on this. Or more appropriately, how much I notice it. I think its a combination of two factors.

1- What was already talked about. LCDs attract lint.

2- These 17-inchers are our babies. We notice the small things and make big deals about them when we see them.

... but goodness I love this thing. My poor PEECEE hasn't been used since I got this.

I hope everyone has been having as good a time with there's as I have been.
