I installed OS X.2.5 last night and when it told me to reboot, the computer turned off, but never booted back up. I have tried many things to get the computer to reboot, but nothing will work (Ex. fsck -y, basic reinstallation). CAN YOU HELP?

Thanks

So you've reformatted & re-installed OS X and it *still* won't boot? If so, you should definitely call AppleCare and see if they can walk you through something.

Take this as a lesson, however, NEVER be the guinea pig to a OS Update, NEVER. Let others use it for a couple of weeks and see if they screw their systems up before you do it.

well listen to this story

Tibook 1ghz 1gb

os 10.2.4

well i was burning a cd ... in the end when itunes tells u thats its closing the cd or whatever i got an error never even looked at the msg really but i think it said kernal something somewhere then i clicked fix and use.. itunes was working fine. BUT the cd that i just burnt was not on the playlist nor on the Desktop i pressed eject with no luck tried it alot with no luck so i restarted .. whhile restarting i pressed eject the cd poped out but computer never booted
i gave it a bit of time with no luck .. the only thing i get is the apple logo when u first boot without the spinning circle under it.

well i left it as it is cuz i am soo fed up with formatting and reinstalling OSX on it.. i think itgs a bad unit or somthing cuz i never ever had 2% of this problem on any of my other macs

PB G4 500
Imac 700
G4 PowerMac

the thing is that i just formated and installed the OS .. so its a new OS that crashed.. anyone ever see this before?

Ohh one more thing i am thinking of getting a PB17 what u guys thing?
