Hello All,

Today I became one of the lucky ones to receive my 17" Powerbook. All seems good except for one thing. . .When I pick up the Powerbook and rotate it or tilt it, I hear what sounds like something loose moving or sliding around inside the front corner where the Superdrive is located. It's been a while since my last Powerbook (520c-ouch)so this may be a "normal" sound created by moving parts in the drive unit but I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this same sound and could enlighten me as to what it is. I don't seem to be experiencing any performance problems (dvds play fine, discs are pulled in and eject without a problem). It almost sounds like a screw is loose and rolling around. Thanks for any info.

Daniel

Hey!!! Sweet, you are from Thailand!! I love it there! Well... I had the same problem initially... It was a little peice of plastic in my case... I just opened the case... Quiet easy... Giggled the computer... and out fell the plastic... it really isn't that hard to take apart... And it sure beats going in for repair!
