Looks like 10.2.5 added some new options for TV output. If you plug into the television and then click on the options tab of the display, it gives you two things to configure "Best for Video" and Overscan.

Best for video makes things a WHOLE lot sharper. I can now almost read the text on the screen.

Overscan seems to crop off alot of the edges of the screen. I guess for playing movies and stuff. It helps the text visibility too.

Just givin everyone the heads up.

Yes, the addition of the overscan option is especially welcome.

It is amazing that Apple took so long to add a feature that has been around since Mac OS 8, but I am glad they finally did all the same!

Now DVDs can be watched on a TV the way they were meant to be.

Yeah, but I still have to listen from the mini iBook speakers! Have yet to find the cables to export sound from the headjack slot in the iBook to my TV.

oooh, thanks for the TV tip! finally a good reason to get the update .

sound cables... i just hook my iBook to my stereo using minijack to RCA cable (from Radio Shack, they're cheap). most TV's also use RCA for sound in (mine does).
