Yep.. read that right.
She made a candle 'blow', it was in a glass.. and the glass made 3 scratches on my screen and one on the body.
2 of them are quite difficult to notice, but one is 1cm long and quite deep (you can feel it with your fingers). I don't care that much about the paint.. but the screen!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so mad. What happened was so stupid.. and I'm stuck with a darn scrath in the middle of the screen..
Do you guys know if there's a way to change the plastic holding the LCD and how much would that be?

There's no 'plastic'. That's the screen itself. To get rid of it would require a complete lid assembly, which is $1100-$1500, I forget for sure. You could get a refurb of a faster machine for that.
You got rid of her, right?

Rubbing doesn't work.. too deep. The LCD part behind is fine.. it's just the plastic part that got damaged.

Actually the LCD has a Polarizer attached to it. The "screen" is the LCD matrix with the polarizer on top. It is possible to replace only the polarizer on some screens, I don't know if the Powerbook screens qualify and how you find someone that could do such a thing.

Victor tried to replace the polarizer on one of my Pismo's screens. We found that polarizers are almost impossible to replace without special equipment because they are adhered to screens via a transparent, thin glue sprayed on them during manfacturing.

Yeah, the polarizers are glued on. I would have brought it up, but it's pretty much non-replaceable. Not to mention the TiBook screens can't really be opened without damage.

Drizzt-
Get yourself a piece of microfiber cloth (the ones you can pick up at a camera store, for camera lenses)
Now, take an alcohol swab, and clean your entire screen. Use alcohol (not the drinking kind ), so that you make sure you get ALL the dirt off.
After the alcohol evaporates, take a portion of the microfiber cloth, and wet it (with good ole H2O). Now go back and forth across the screen, with modrate pressure (do this to your whole screen, but especially where the scratch is). It will probably take 20-30 wipes. Next, take the portion of the micro fiber cloth that is dry, and wipe over the screen, but this time, do it very fast, and with out a lot of pressure.
This has gotten small scratches out of my screen, and will round the corners of the larger scratches, making them less noticable.
