Hi Mohammed,
Wow! With all those computers, why do you need two Powerbooks at all?
The only reason I could see you getting a 12" would be for portabilty away from home or office. I would guess your 17" will be for portability IN the home or office??
The 12" is a great model. I had problems with heat, but since the updae to 10.2.5, that problem is gone.
Good luck with your choice!
Peter

yeah mohammed, the 12" PB can be your take-anywhere go-anywhere mac. It's so small and unobtrusive. Heck, I keep mine in my jeans back-pocket all the time.... sometimes I forget I it's there and I end up almost sitting on it.
hehe

Hi Mohammed,
Each computer user has to determine their particular computing needs and their computer purchase budget. You didn't mention whether the various computers support a small business or whether they are just computers you've "collected" over time.
Personally, I find that having a PowerBook and a tower are enough for me. I tend to only use the PowerBook much more often than the Power Mac. I think due to mobility inherent in the PowerBook.
But back to your question in regards my opening statement, If you feel that it is something that you need (or want, for that matter) and can afford, it is your choice to make. One thing to consider is putting some of the other Macs back "into the marketplace." There are others who would be able to benefit for "cheaper" Macs found on auction sites.

Last year, I got rid of half my computers because they were more trouble than they're worth.
Having two laptops is only useful if you can find an effective way of synchronizing your data between them.

Sounds like a plan...use the 12" AlBook for portable usage and the rest of your computers to handle everything else; and I agree, the most annoying thing about having multiple computers in syncing the data between them, but the most wonderful thing is that if one goes down in flames, data is still alive on the other one.
