Does the dual-monitor hack work before and after the hack; does it also work if you've never enabled the hack? Please let us know your experiences.

thanks.

confused myself. what was i thinking? anyway, i wanted to get a feel for how techie ibook users were, like configuring sendmail for roaming, php, mysql--things beyond the gui. it doesn't matter, since my ibook is now turning into a brick.

the network configs don't quite work (we can see servers, but can't mount them; we're not getting a dhcp address, and after copying 10.2.5 via firewire target mode, can't install that either). i guess i'm in for a hard drive-erase, etc. (a first in many years). that will probably solve my issues quicker than diagnosing everything.

thoughts?
