I know this has been argued over about a million times, but I thought I'd relive the good old arguments over which screen size people prefer on their iBooks.

i prefer the 12" screen over the 14" because both display 1024x768. the smaller screen gives you higher resolution.

I have a 12" and I love it, but if the 14" had a higher resolution, I may be swapped

mine seems to be the same reason as everyone elses.

i like the size of the 12" iBook, and since the 14" is still at 1024x768, i do not see the point.

if the 14" was a higher resolution i would probably have gotten it.

I remember when the 12" PB was released everyone was asking why it was only 1024x768 but I think a 12" would look terrible with a higher resolution.

I like the 12" for it's size, and the fact that it has the same resolution as the larger 14" screen.

Same as above. I like the compact size of my 12" iBook, and I'm not at all bothered by the screen size.

The 12" was fine for me. Then I hooked up a nice 17" LCD (with the mon. spanning hack to enable 1280x1024). oooh, I can't go back now...

Besides the size/weight issue, there's just something goofy looking about the 14-incher. It just seems like the speakers look really small and there's a lot of "dead" space around the keyboard. I dunno... it just doesn't look right.

I agree... the 14" looks a little clunky... too big. I'd be happy if they could fit a 13" LCD in the same size case as the 12" though... or if they could make the 12" ibook as small as the 12" powerbook
