I am going to have a need for a serial port connection on my new PB (or I am going to have to keep an old wintel machine around)

Alot of the equipment I use is configured via hyperterminal (windows) and am hoping I can find a soloution that will work with macs, will also need for a special software package I use (windows only grrr) and dumping code the same way, via serial port

I am thinking virtual pc with a usb to serial port DB9 connection. Anyone have any knowledge on this type of piece, or used this setup before?

Well the actual concerter cable you'll need can be found cheapest here, and it's Mac-Win compatible which is nice: Click HERE

As for the program, you should just be able to load it right into VirtualPC & use it just like you would in Windows.
