...meaning what, exactly? I ordered my 17" PB on 2003/04/13, but it won't ship until 2003/04/24, which makes your date significant to me, one way or the other.

Should I be worried or happy?

D'oh! Well, I just reread your post, and I see that I'm off by a month. Sod it. What's the significance, then?

If you're not getting a discount on it, cancel your order and pick one up at any retail store.

I think he's getting it via ADC, but I'm not positive...that's a long ways off man, bummer.

I ordered via ADC student on 4/02 and it says on or before 5/19....i've been checking the apple store online everyday with disappointments!

I have been waiting for more than two months. My original OOB was 4/2 and was postponed to 5/7. I called ADC and they said my actual shipping date was 4/28. But I don't believe the promise. Discounted orders have less priority than ordinary orders is what I heard from Apple engineer.

I hate waiting.
Apple business sucks.

I hear you man...I think our ADC orders should be treated at least as normal orders if not better since we ARE the future of Mac developers, we ARE the ones who will help bring the Mac platform to the next level...

Sorry to hear you guys are still waiting...I waiting about a month and a half on mine...it's a killer, but you'll forget all about it the moment it arrives, heck, probably the moment it ships!

I thought that they DID treat the ADC orders the same. I mean, I ordered mine in early March, was given a on or before date of 4/28, but recieved it only two weeks after ordering it!
This seems like they treated my order as any other, but I dunno, maybe they give priority to people who have ordered from the apple store in the past? Anyhow, sorry about the wait. The sad part is that the anxiety gets worse once it ships because you know it is soooo close to being at your door, but its not!

I'm still in awe that they are not shipping in quantity EVEN YET. Will they be shipping full quantity, in large stock everywhere, FOUR months after the announcement?

Ouch. It's coming up to a month that I've had mine. This Thursday, to be exact.

Well, that's all very strange: ADC orders in Europe seem to be handled completely different. I ordered mine on the 10th of April and on the 12th it has already completely shipped. Unfortunately, the ordered AirPort base station delayed the whole thing (the boxes are merged in Luxembourg). The station got to Luxembourg on the 16th, but due to Easter, It had to wait 4 days in Geneva before finally getting to me today (I'm still waiting...).
Without all those delays on the way, I could have gotten it as soon as 5 days after my order... That's simply incredible...

I'm very sorry for you guys, that's not acceptable at all. I can imagine how you must feel after seeing how I'm reacting to only short delays in my delivery... (I expected it to be here one weak ago already...).

Yep, the ADC in America is COMPLETELY differently handled than the ADC's around the globe. And it's been covered before: Apple shows no rhyme nor reason to their method of handling orders, it appears completely random.
