Hehe, Apple notebook's are the best. The feeling you get while using them is unexplainable! Glad you're enjoying your iBook! And yeah, get an AirPort base, it rocks.

Yep, they do rock!.
I am working from home today, and am sitting on the futon in the spare bedroom. I have my Powerbook G4 (with airport) in my lap updating my iPod and Palm Tungsten contacts with iSync while burning a CD. This is wonderful!

The iBook is nothing short of fabulous. I have been watching DVD movies in bed at nite. There is nothing like it. I love multitasking: watching a movie; updating my Entourage calendar; typing a letter in Word or AppleWorks; and chatting with a pal. I don't have wireless yet, but I am eager to get that. My next Apple purchase will consist of AppleCare, an AirPort base station, and an AirPort card. Then I can get an iMac, and then a PowerBook, and then a cinema display...
Have fun... Tony.

A word of advice, there really is no reason to pay Apples high prices for the Airport bases station. There are plenty of boring old wireless routers that are cheaper, and in some cases offer longer range. Wouldn't be a big deal, but the difference in price can be amost a hundred bucks...

What is funny is the airport used to be the cheapest option now its three times the cost of the linksys. I have the linkys with my iBook and it works great. I also like the option of having four hard wire options instead of just one.

I just got my iBook over the weekend - 700mhz, 384mb RAM, 40GB 5400 IBM hard drive, 16x Sony Combo drive, and Airport Card (yep, the previous owner did a few upgrades), and I've been surfing this week at my local coffee shop.
This whole wireless thing is the real deal - just wish I could find a slightly cheaper alternative to the Airport Base Station. Seems that there's not another option when you still need 56k capabilities along with broadband, which I do for the forseeable future. If I'm missing something, I'm sure one of you will let me know...

Why would you need 56k if you have broadband?

My reference to broadband is that all of the wireless options out there are suited for broadband, whereas only Apple AFAIK offers dual broadband/56k capabilities in their base station. I have broadband at work, just not at home at the moment, but it'd still be cool to surf and email from my back deck when the weather's nice...
