Yikes!!
Never heard of that one before...how did it happen? Sadly, unless you can convince Apple that it was a defect and not self-inflicted, warrenty will not cover the repair costs. If you used Amex to purchase it, or have another good credit card warrenty program, you might be able to get them to pay for it. But accidental damages aren't covered under AppleCare or the original 1-year warrenty that Apple Computers come with. Best of luck!
