My TiBook will soon arrive and i am looking for a "Beginner's Guide" for OS X and the hardware in general. The guide should cover topics like the using Unix-Components, too.

Any recommendations?

There's some good ones that can be found by searching for "OS X" at www.amazon.com

And on the web:

www.osxfaq.com
www.macfixit.com
www.macosxhints.com

I am a switcher and liked "Mac OSX Missing Manual", lots of good basic info, even some UNIX stuff.

"Mac OSX for Unix Geeks" (O'Reilly) is not bad, a little thin in size and info, but a must if you are going to do UNIX SA/dev on your Mac.

I especially enjoy O'Reilly's macdevcenter.com, lots of detailed info on setting up Apache web serving, Oracle database, Samba, etc. on your Mac

If you're going to sign up with a .Mac account there is very nice online OS X Jaguar training available to .Mac members. It is by Apple and I've tried it. It's pretty nice, I learned several features I wasn't aware of as well as showing the basics to get you started smoothly into OS X Jaguar.

Thanks for the tips so far!
Up to now, I think "The Mac OS X Solutions Guidebook" is my favourite.
