I have a 1GHz Ti PB. At home, usually I use it closed and connected to an external monitor.
Lately (after downloading OS X 10.2.5???) when I put it to sleep, a second later it wakes up.
Does anybody experience the same?

Yeah, I've got a similar problem with my 1GHz TiBook. In my case, the PB won't shut down with an external monitor connected and powered -- it shuts down all the way, and then restarts immediately. I have to switch the monitor off, or disconnect it first, in order to get the machine to shut down properly.
It appears that this is a known problem with at least a few models of the 15" TiBooks when connected to certain external monitors - for example, check out this discussion on Apple's support site. It's been around a while, so it probably wasn't the upgrade to 10.2.5 that's caused it in your case.

Oh whew -- I thought this was only me.
It kind of scared me the third time shutting it down and then have it just start back up. And the same thing happens when I put it in sleep mode. Hope this is fixed soon.

Has anybody tried this with one of the new AlBooks, hooked up to an external monitor? I'd be curious to know if the problem has been fixed in the newer models.
I'm also wondering if it's a general problem, or if it's specific to those models with DVI output (i.e. the 15" and 17" PBs).

My 12" goes to sleep when I tell it to (even if it's hooked up to my external SD).
