Hello,

I have had numerous problems with my PB 12'' as can seen here . I STILL have the rocking back and forth issue even though my PB has been sent to the fixing center twice. The first time, the bottom was replaced, but my laptop still rocked back and forth so they sent it in again and when I got it back, it still rocked back and forth on particular portion ofthe genius bar. So I asked the genius as to why it rocked on this portion of the bar and he said that that bar was not level. So one customer put his iBook on the same spot and it didin't rock so the Genius said that was an iBook and so it didn't mean anything so I asked him to get a PB 12'' from their displays and put it there and it didn't rock! So I was about to send it in again, but I decided not to and to call Apple myself. When I called apple last Friday, I was told that since it had been sent in twice then it was within specs (the 2nd time, they didn't repair the bottom case) and so they could not do anything or let me send it in again for repairs. So I complained some more, and they said that they will e-mail their engineering department and see what they say so I am still waiting on that reply. I called Apple again today and got the same reponse even though I have tried it on my desk, multiple desks on the campus and other places and guess what? It still rocks very noticeably. That is very unacceptable. So PLEASE, what can I do about this? Who should I call/contact to get this fixed? My laptop wobbles like crazy....

As I posted here :

Unfortunately, case warping in a common issue w/ the Rev. A 12" PowerBooks in which you have one of. You *might* get a sympathetic worker at your local Apple Store to send it in for repairs or replacement, so yes, it's definitely worth a trip up there. Apple *may* fix this in the future, but for now your best bet is to head to the Apple Store with your PB in hand and a stern voice. Telling everyone in an Apple Store your Apple product is defunk can do a lot when the workers are placed in that position to say "Oh sure! We'll fix it!" Best of luck man.
