o.k. any betting people out there? this will be the first real test of my ibook's battery.
i'm thinking about 3.5 hours
(700mhz, 12in, no airport, no processor intensive apps, just strictly surfing the web.)

what do you think?

Have you never used the iBook on battery before?

I'd say with the screen set at the brightest, 3 hours...

first time on battery. i got 2hrs 14mins 39 sec right now and it's at 37%

Turn the screen off, reduce processor speed, etc... I can typically get 3.5-4 hours of battery life when recording live audio, and that's with constant hard drive access. I'm sure I could squeeze 5 hours out of it if I wanted, I just wouldn't be able to use it at all.
