I was noticing on my 12" PowerBook that when the caps lock key is on, you can see the green light beneath it through the words--especially through the word *caps*. Has this topic been covered and I missed it?
I wonder if all of the keys are already "light friendly".

The 12-inch PowerBook uses the same laser-etched keys found on the 17-inch PowerBook.

I bet all the keys are, as you call them, light friendly. But they lack the white lightning effect in the dark of the big brother 17". The caps lock and num lock green lights are two simple leds, I think the light of the 17" is more sophisticated.

yeah i posted this a while back... if you take a flashlight and shine it under the front edge of the keyboard you can see that all of the type is translucent. if nothing else, this will ensure that the letters wont wear off.

Yes, I'm glad you replied because I did a more refined search after I posted my topic and noticed your original posting about shining the light through. Thank you for finding that out for us!

Just wondering.
