She's graduating in 3 weeks and wanted to buy a 17" through Edu discount (I suggested the developer discount).

Airport card, 512MB and buy the memory somewhere else? Which portable printer is good right now? Cannon or HP?

I have an AGP 400 G4 and think an airport basestation would be a good idea when she comes by to work and do her color outputs.

Any other suggestions?
If there were no God, it would be necessary to invent him.

Airport extreme is built in. Same goes for the memory - 512MB ought to be plenty. I'm not even sure if they are optional. Personally, I had been through 3 Canon printers and now have an HP - my vote is on HP.

My advice is get an Epson printer. I bought an HP and the drivers kept messing up on me. Their support for mac is very all that great. I ended up returning my HP and went back to Epson because I had an old Epson printer for my old mac and that lasted me for 5 years and it still works! So, maybe you should look at an Epson. Either one is fine but I think Epson really has great mac support.
