hurrayyyy !!!

...i was wondering when this would happen...
i just bought a PB12" after trying out the new IMAC 1Ghz/1Gb RAM special order from apple and sending it back; not that it was a bad machine or anything, it's just that i'm a laptop guy in the end...

...anyway, i've been hesitating among the new PB17" and the TI15" of course; in the end i can live with a PB12" 'till apple comes out with something really powerful enough to make video without lagging behind desktops...

i figure major video apps minimum requirements for HD in general is 7200rpm and i was wondering...

...i'm just waiting for the the PB17" rev.2; if i get lucky it will have double PPC970, DVD 4x and...
...7200rpm HD.

now guess what i found out buy the current number of macworld the magazine here in france...

...macway, which is a major mac products store chain here, just sell the first 7200rpm 2.5" 50Gb HD for notebooks ever !!!

maybe it's not the first, it certainly is the first one i know of...

check out this link:

cross fingers for PB17" rev.2 to be really innovating as in tipical apple style...
...ATI RADEON PRO 9600, 2Gb RAM, hypertransport, double ppc970, DVD-R 4x and this baby toshiba HD in 50Gb or other flavour...

enjoy !
