I was just reading about the desire for G4 iBooks, or Powerbooks with 970s. Also the mention that graphic designers wouldn't even consider a G3.

A few years ago, graphic people used Power Macs with 60MHz 601s chipped to run at 80MHz. A 200MHz 604e was considered fast!

I can still remember the review of the Mac IIfx (second hand of course, I'm not that old), "wicked fast."

If I went back in time to say, 1996. I'd have the fastest mac around with my 600MHz G3 iBook!

Oh yeah, and the interface is real time. You can actually see through that window...

but softwares today are demanding a more powerful processing capability everyday.
so naturally, the hardware must evolve as the software becomes more and more demanding.

G4 iBooks, the 12" Powerbook is considered by some to be just that. Powerbook with 970 I'm sure it's coming.
