I'm curious as to what type of data is being sent to the controllers on my 12'' Wallstreet PowerBook. I checked out the ribbons going to the display; The data connector has 5 wires, and the power connecter has 4. Could the data connector be R, G, B, H sync, and V sync, and the power connect be the normal 5v, Gnd, Gnd, 12v? These are all preceding their respective cards, the controller and inverter boards.

Not likely. You can voltmeter on the power connector, but the data connector is something else. You're expecting analog data over the cable that I don't think is there.
If this post is in the Lounge forum, it is likely to be my own opinion, and not representative of the position of MacNN.com.
