I installed RAM and an airport card on a Ti400. You have to take the bottom of the case off for the airport card, so it can be a little nerve wracking. It isn't hard, just be careful not to bend the back when you are putting it on/off.

RAM is easy. Just open up the keyboard. The ram slots are right below, with nothing blocking them. Much easier to change in/out than on old Pismo, which required processor card removal to get to bottom slot.

Hope that helps.

Cool thanks...
I just have to ask...

1) How many ram slots are there?
2) Do they allow the 512MB sticks or only 256 and lower?? Cause I know some laptops can't allow more than 256.
3) Is there any built in ram?

There's 2 RAM slots in the PowerBook you're looking at.

Each slot can hold a 512MB RAM stick without problems, giving you a total of up to 1GIG of RAM.

There' no built-in RAM on the motherboard like there is with the 12" AlBook.
5G 60GB video iPod
512MB iPod Shuffle
Westone UM1 Canalphones
