Other than Apple's web store, is there any place to buy a 12" Powerbook with the SuperDrive and a 60Gb drive? I'd get it from Apple, but if I can save a few bucks by avoiding sales tax.

If I do buy from Apple, anyone know what there stock has been lately for 12" PB's? Are they shipping them out quickly?

Thanks!
James

Any opinions on Smalldog? They appear to have the 12" PB with SD and 60Gb HD.

SmallDog is a wonderful Mac reseller with a terrific reputation amongst Mac users. But make sure you don't find a better deal from this list: http://www.macprices.com/12pbtracker.shtml

Read the thread, Godfather. I am trading it with someone for an iBook and cash. I didn't order one. Thanks.

Rather have the iBook + cash than the powerbook.

Oh, first off thanks to everyone for their input.

I ended up buying from MacZone. They had the 12" with the SD and 60Gb HD and threw in an Airport Extreme card for free (+$39 install).

So, it's shipping today and I'll have it Friday!! There goes my weekend

NICE!!! Congrats! And yep, count your weekend as being as good as gone! Enjoy it!

P.S. - Max out the RAM if possible. www.ramseeker.com or www.18004memory.com have the best prices on 12" AlBook 512MB sticks.

Yeah, I'll definately be bumping it up to 640Mb of RAM, but I figured I could find better prices than the $150 that MacZone wanted.

Definitely...I'd highly recommend the sites I already listed for great prices on RAM, and also check www.otherworldcomputing.com for their prices.
