Well, I have proven that I can burn DVD-rw discs (Verbatim) in my new 17" PB, but now I am upset to see that I cannot do multi-session burning to this DVD-rw disc.

Is there any way using Toast or an alternative program that I can get "drag to disc" burning of cd-rw or dvd-rw so that I can do multi-sessions burns by just dragging the file to the mounted disc icon on the desktop. (i.e. similar to the drag to disc function of Easy CD & DVD Creater 6 for PCs.

Not in OS X. I think Roxio used to make DirectCD for OS 9, but it's no longer listed on their web site or anything.
This is a feature I've wanted for a looooong time. Yah, Toast doesn't do this. And just so ya know, it's called "packet writing", if you're interested in the technical term.
