What's the best place to buy a screen protector for the PowerBook 17 (I don't want one that covers the whole screen, just one that keeps the keyboard from coming into contact with the LCD

They have exactly what you're looking for here: www.radtech.us

I just ordered a custom screen-protector for my 17" PB from them and should have it in about a week or so.

Apple Store near me carries a nice product.. it's a thin pad, the exact size of the keyboard... just lay it on, and close your lid. doesn't cover the who body, or wrap around the screen. i believe this is what you're thinking of.

I wish that the radtec cover was like the OEM foam.... It does not cover the entire are area of the laptop...thus, the frame rubs on the body

If you're a person of taste, go leather with http://www.jrhillandcompany.com/laptops.html . I've had one for my TiBook for a couple of years and use it for my BigAl. Works/looks nice.
