Hi all,

I am going to be in San Francisco May 20th to May 26th on Vacation. Coming in from Australia.

I want to upgrade my RAM to 1 Gig whilst in town.

Are there any shops around union square or close to a Bart/Muni line I can get too that sells cheap Ram?

Thanks in Advance,

Henry

CompUSA - two blocks from Union Square:

http://www.compusa.com/locations/Sto...4&type=%0D

I don't live in SFO, but this store does have a very large selection of Macs and Mac products. You can probably find the ram cheaper via mail order, but if you are going to be in town and want to do it in person, this is a good bet. I wouldn't buy ram from a ma and pa store anyway - so you're best bet is a place like CompUSA or one of the major mail order places.

Good luck!

I'd concur, CompUSA has a big store nearby and is probably your best bet. I've bought a number of things there. And I would repeat what danbrew said about Ma and Pa Shops. Not the best place to buy memory.

I would also agree. I recently visited that CompUSA, and found it to be the most Mac-centric CompUSA I'd ever seen. I guess San Francisco really is Mac country!

Yeah, I agree. I visited that CompUSA back in January while out for Macworld and was impressed with the amount of Apple stuff on display. Granted - it was Macworld week - but I'm certain that have what you're looking for.

There are also plenty of neat, trendy spots nearby to enjoy your favorite beverage while working on your PB...
